THE GREENEST DISPLAY IS THE ONE THAT SHIPS FLAT

Most of the environmental cost of a retail display is decided before it is printed — in what it is made of, how far it travels, and whether it can be used again. Those are the three things we design around.

  1. Ships flat

    The unit leaves our floor as flat sheets — far more units per pallet and per truckload than a pre-assembled display.

  2. Folds without tools

    Locking tabs and scored folds. Store staff assemble it by hand — no fixings, no adhesives, no installer visit.

  3. One material

    Structure, shelves and header are all paper-based. Nothing needs separating before it goes into a recycling stream.

  4. Flattens again

    It collapses back down between campaigns for storage or reuse, instead of being cut up and thrown out.

Materials

Three paper tiers, and one plastic

Corrugated, D-board and honeycomb are not interchangeable — they carry different loads and cost different amounts. Here is what each one actually is, next to the expanded PVC board they usually replace.

Paper-based

Corrugated board

Single and double-wall fluted paper board. The workhorse for campaign displays.

  • Paper-based — repulpable through existing paper recycling streams
  • Light, so freight and handling cost less
  • Scores and folds flat for shipping
  • Prints directly, no separate face material needed
  • Not suited to damp environments or long outdoor exposure
Paper-based

D-board (double-wall)

Two fluted layers bonded together — noticeably more rigid than single-wall.

  • Carries heavier product loads than single-wall
  • Still paper-based and recyclable in the same stream
  • Holds edges and corners cleanly on tall units
  • Thicker, so takes more space flat than single-wall
Paper-based

Honeycomb board

A paper cell core between liners — the same principle used in aircraft panels.

  • High stiffness for its weight, thanks to the cell structure
  • Spans wide shelves without sagging
  • Paper-based throughout — no plastic core to separate out
  • Higher unit cost than plain corrugated
Plastic

Sintra (expanded PVC)

Rigid expanded PVC sheet. Still the right answer for some jobs — but it is a plastic.

  • Moisture-resistant and wipeable
  • Holds up over long deployments and repeated handling
  • A PVC plastic — not accepted in paper recycling streams, and rarely collected kerbside
  • Heavier per equivalent panel, so it costs more to ship
  • Does not fold flat — it ships and stores at full size

We still specify Sintra where a job genuinely needs it — long deployments, damp environments, repeated handling. The point is not that one material is banned, but that most campaign work does not need a plastic panel to begin with.

Printing

Water-based inks, not solvent

Solvent-based inks release volatile organic compounds as they print and cure. We print with water-based inks instead — substantially lower VOC content, with no solvent odour.

Better air in our plant

Lower VOC emissions where our production team works every day.

Safe to install in a live store

No solvent smell means displays can go onto the floor during trading hours, around staff and shoppers.

Keeps board recyclable

Water-based inks do not compromise the paper stream the board is recycled through.

Bags, merchandise & banners

Materials that survive scrutiny

For bags, corporate merchandise and printed banners, we work in materials chosen for what they are made of — and what they leave out.

Cotton canvas

A natural fibre that takes years of daily use, so one bag displaces a great many single-use ones.

PVC-free fabrics throughout

The same principle across both lines: standard tarpaulin is PVC, so we print banners and backdrops on PVC-free fabric instead — and totes and bags are made up in fabrics like cotton canvas. Same job, without the chlorinated plastic.

Heavy-metal-free

Colourants and finishes specified free of heavy metals — the first thing an importing brand’s compliance team checks.

How we work

Three things that cut impact before design starts

Flat-pack, so fewer trucks

A collapsible display ships as flat sheets. Far more units fit on the same pallet and in the same vehicle than rigid or pre-assembled displays — which means fewer trips to put the same campaign into the same number of stores.

  • More units per pallet and per truckload
  • Fewer vehicle movements for a national rollout
  • Less warehouse space between campaigns

Built to be used again

Where the campaign allows, we build the structure to outlive the artwork. The printed panel is replaced for the next promotion and the frame stays in service — so each campaign consumes a graphic, not a whole display.

  • Swap the printed skin, keep the structure
  • Lower cost per campaign after the first
  • Collapses flat for storage between activations

Made here, not shipped here

Everything is produced in our own facility in Valenzuela. Displays sourced overseas travel thousands of kilometres by sea and road before they reach a Philippine store. Ours do not.

  • No inbound international freight for the finished goods
  • Shorter lead times and faster reprints

Documentation your ESG team can file

Large buyers increasingly have to report on what their suppliers provide. We can supply the paperwork to support that — material declarations covering composition and recyclability, and safety data sheets for the inks we print with.

We do not currently hold third-party environmental certification. Everything above describes the materials and processes we actually use, and we are happy to put it in writing for your records.
